KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) – Nasir Buba, husband of Tasleem Baba Nabegu, suspected to have been arrested with embattled Jigawa State Commissioner, Alhaji Auwalu Danladi Sankara, on Tuesday called on the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, his Jigawa state counterpart, Malam Umar Namadi to stay off from ongoing court process.
Nasir Buba who spoke in Kano Tuesday evening at a press conference enjoined the two chief executives to let justice run its course by ensuring non Interference.
Buba in an emotional laden message called on the Governors to consider their role as leaders and fathers who have daughters not perverts the course of justice.
Nasiru Buba, however expressed dissatisfaction with the unfolding drama surrounding the trial of Danladi Sankara, as he tasked the two governors
“to uphold justice and fear Allah in the case involving his wife, Tasleem Baba Nabegu, and her alleged lover”.
He also cautioned lawyers representing his wife
Tasleem at the court to refrain from misleading the court
According to him “I want to clarify that I have not divorced my wife, Tasleem. Although we previously separated for 4-5 months, we reconciled and have been living together since. In fact, Hisba Officials recently arrested her in my car, which I purchased just two months ago. We also have a baby less than one year old. Therefore, claims of our divorce are entirely false.”
He clarified that there are two separate cases that include a Direct Complaint he filed before the court and a case instituted by Hisbah after arresting the defendants in an uncompleted building.
