Doguwa Emerges Kano APC Chairman in Major Leadership Shift

KANO —- A major leadership shift took place last night within the All Progressives Congress in Kano State as Umar Haruna Doguwa emerged as the new state chairman of the party.
Doguwa, who recently resigned as Commissioner for Water Resources, was elected alongside other key officials during the party congress held to reconstitute the state executive committee.
Elected as Vice Chairman is Hon. Salisu Maje Ahmad Gwangwazo, while Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo Bichi will serve as Secretary.
Abdul Adamu Fagge, SAN, emerged as Legal Adviser, with Barr. Bashir Yusuf Tudun Wuzirci elected as Assistant Legal Adviser.
In the financial structure of the party, Kabiru Sule Rogo was elected Treasurer and Umar Yusuf Umar as Assistant Treasurer. Ma’aruf Abdullahi Garo will serve as Financial Secretary, with Mustafa Muhammad Kalwa as Assistant Financial Secretary to support party financial administration.
For organizational responsibilities, Dr. Kabiru Hussaini Zawaciki was elected Organising Secretary, assisted by Barr. Abdussalam Umar as Assistant Organising Secretary. Auwalu Abdullahi Sani Mai Nagge emerged as Publicity Secretary, while Sani Fata Sharada was elected Assistant Publicity Secretary.
Bashir Mai Sango will serve as Welfare Secretary, with Garba Hussaini Kwami as Assistant Welfare Secretary. Abubakar Salisu Makoda was elected Auditor and Nura Muhammad Ingili as Assistant Auditor to oversee the party’s accounts and ensure transparency.
The congress also produced Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi Dala as Women Leader and Hajiya Habiba Abdullahi Takai as Assistant Women Leader. Salisu Yahaya Hotoro emerged as Youth Leader, assisted by Mussadiq Wada Waziri as Assistant Youth Leader, while Nura Umar Malami was elected Leader of Persons with Disabilities.
Completing the list of newly elected officials are Alhaji Auwalu Nagero (Ex Officio I), Alhaji Rabiu Nagoggo (Ex Officio II), Alhaji Wada A.A. Rano (Ex Officio III), Alhaji Musa Bagwai (Assistant Ex Officio), and Rahama Kabir Fagge (Assistant Ex Officio).
