By Editor
KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) – The Kano NUJ press centre erupted in jubilation on Friday morning as the Kano delegates returned home safely from the Owerri Conference.
Led by Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, Deputy Director General Campaign for Alhassan Yahaya, and Abimbola Presidency, the team had endured a grueling 22-hour road trip from Owerri to Kano.
Their safe return was met with excitement and relief, marking a triumphant conclusion to their journey.
In an exclusive interview with Finenews Nigeria, Muhammad Kabir Yau, a seasoned editor at Daily Post and a prominent figure in the Correspondent Chapel, shared his reflections on the recently concluded journey to Owerri.
Malam Yau said “We’re thrilled to report that our preferred candidate won in Owerri, and we’ve returned home feeling accomplished.”
Comrade Soron Dinki, affectionately known as the “Strongman of the Chapel,” who was part of the entourage, provided an update on the arrival of the second bus. “We expect the second bus to arrive in Kano within the next hour,” he stated.
Comrade Dinki, known for his soft-spoken demeanor, revealed that “Due to our driver’s fatigue, we decided to truncate our journey and spent the night in Kaduna.”
Comrade Soron Dinki expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Allah for ensuring a seamless journey, while also highlighting the immense satisfaction of the Kano delegates with the emergence of Alhassan Yahaya as their new leader.
