Police Arrests Pastor For Sexual Exploitation Of Own Daughter

KANO( Kano,North West Nigeria) – The Police authority in Akwa Ibom state has detained, and paraded a supposed man of God, Pastor Louis Akpojotor Mevoweoyo for engaging in sexual exploitation with own daughter for 12 years.
A statement by DSP Timfon John, the local Public Relations Officer of the Command that was made available to Finenews Nigeria revealed that, the Pastor, a native of Ughelli North LGA, residing in Ibiono Ibom, had been sexually assaulting the victim since she was 12 years old.
DSP Timfon John said the latest incident was recorded in December 2024, pointing out that the suspect would be prosecuted.
Timfon in the signed statement said “We equally arrested one Louis Akpojotor Mevoweoyo ‘m’, a pastor from Ughelli North LGA, residing in Ibiono Ibom, for defiling his daughter (name withheld).”
However “Investigations revealed that the suspect had been sexually assaulting the victim since she was 12 years old, with the latest incident occurring in December 2024.”
Similarly, the Akwa Ibom state police Command disclosed that they have arrested a 32 year old serial rapist, Daniel Effiong Umoh a.k.a. Akaka for defiling a minor.
The police said Daniel Effiong Umoh specialises in attacking, and dragging victims into the bush where he forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge.
The police disclosed that “Investigations revealed a history of sexual assault by the suspect on other teenage girls.”
The statement assured its readiness to visit the full weight of the law on Daniel Effiong Umoh to serve as deterrent.
The statement by DSP Timfon John assured the general public that “The Akwa Ibom State Police Command remains resolute in its zero tolerance for crime.”
He said “We remind the public that mob actions are illegal and will not be condoned. We urge residents to report suspicious activities and trust the Police to handle such matters professionally.”
DSP John said “Let me reassure all law-abiding citizens that the Police in the State, under the watchful eyes of CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, are here to protect you and serve you better.”
