NAHCON Overhauls Media Unit, Unveils New Spokesman
By Editor
ABUJA (Nigeria FCT) -The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) may have ratified the appointment of Muhammad Ahmad Musa as its new spokesperson.
The move marks a significant development in the commission’s communication strategy as evident in all statements issued by the Hajj Agency recently that bears the signature of the new Spokesman.
The position of NAHCON Head of Public Affairs
became vacant after the retirement of its former Image maker, Musa Ubandawaki.
Similarly, the press statement issued by the Agency on the 2023 Hajj refund, was signed by Muhammad Ahmad Musa in his new capacity as Head of Public Affairs.
The leadership changes at NAHCON suggest a deliberate effort to reposition the commission’s communication strategy and enhance public engagement under the leadership of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, who was appointed as the Executive Chairman of NAHCON in August 2024.
Consequently, the commission is likely to witness significant transformations aimed at improving its services and reputation.
Prior to his appointment, Muhammad Ahmad Musa served as the acting head of the publication division.
Ahmad Musa took over the role previously held by Hajiya Fatima Sanda Usara, who has been reassigned to head the Information and Publication Division.
