Mass Defection Hits Kano APC As Ganduje’s Loyalists Flock To Kwankwaso’s NNPP

By Editor

Ahead of Saturday’s local government election in Kano, over 1,000 members of All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday defected to the ruling New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).

The new decampees drawn from Ungogo, Kabo, and Takai local government areas of the state have collapsed the entire APC structure and reunited with NNPP.

The fresh set of defectors who surrendered their loyalty to the National leader of the NNPP and spiritual leader of Kwankwasiyya movement Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, pledged to ensure block votes for all NNPP candidates in next Saturday’s council poll.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, at Kwankwaso’s Miller road mansion, Alhaji Sabiu said the APC members lost confidence in the leadership of their former party.

He said they have resolved to move in mass into NNPP to attract government presence in their constituencies.

While receiving the defectors, Kwankwaso applauded the new members and assured them that they would be treated equally within the party.

He emphasized the NNPP’s dedication to socio-economic and political progress, with a clear vision for Nigeria’s future, particularly focusing on the 2027 elections.

He also called on the people of Kano and Nigerians nationwide to unite behind the NNPP, urging them to support the party’s candidates in the upcoming elections.

Kwankwaso reiterated the party’s mission to foster unity and propel Nigeria toward greater development.
