KANO – Kano State’s Hisbah Board has launched a one-day training seminar aimed at strengthening the capacity of its Female Provost Unit, enhancing their skills for more effective service in communities across the state.

The Deputy Commandant for Female Matters, Dr. Khadija Sagir Sulaiman, represented at the event by Malama Fatima Ahmad Tsakuwa, described the Female Provost Unit as “an essential pillar of the Hisbah Board,” highlighting the team’s critical role in maintaining discipline, supporting community welfare, and enforcing the board’s mandate.

According to Malama Tsakuwa, the seminar opened with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, a ritual intended to “seek Allah’s protection and blessings for Kano State and the nation at large.” This was followed by the submission of monthly reports and a review of ongoing activities, ensuring that members remain aligned with the board’s goals.

She encouraged the public to continue offering prayers for guidance and safety, noting that spiritual support complements the work of the Hisbah in addressing social challenges.

At the conclusion of the program, Malama Tsakuwa urged participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to their daily operations. “Our aim is to ensure that every member of the Female Provost Unit is fully equipped to serve the community effectively,” she said. “Continuous training and empowerment are vital for strengthening community policing and improving public trust.”

Paradigmnews.ng, reports that the initiative reflects the Hisbah Board’s ongoing commitment to professional development, particularly for female officers, as part of a broader effort to enhance safety, discipline, and community engagement throughout Kano State.
