How Falgore Veterinary Clinic Revolutionizes Livestock Healthcare In Kano – Expert

KANO  – A multi-million naira Falgore Veterinary Clinic donated by the Kano State Government and Development partners, has revolutionized livestock healthcare in Kano South District.
Briefing newsmen on the site at Falgore Cattle market, the Vet. Officer, Nazeephy Ali Yakubu, said since its inception, the clinic has provided a vital lifeline for Fulani herders, as no fewer than one million livestock have been vaccinated annually.
Nazeephy Ali Yakubu explained that the facility has been instrumental in reducing the incidence of livestock diseases, thereby increasing productivity and improving the livelihoods of herders.
He said “We offer a range of services, including vaccinations, treatment of diseases, and technical advice on animal health.”
Ali Yakubu revealed that the clinic’s impact has been felt far and wide, with herders from across the state and beyond flocking to the facility to access its services.
However, Ahmadu Sulaiman, a local herder, who spoke on his experience, praised the state government and its Development partners for the initiative.
Sulaiman said “The clinic has been a game-changer for us, as we used to travel long distances to access veterinary care, but now we have it right at our doorstep.”
Sulaiman noted that the clinic’s services have not only improved the health of his livestock but have also increased their productivity.
“We are now able to produced 2100 litres of milk weekly, sell our livestock at a higher price, which has improved our livelihoods,” he said.
