ABUJA (FCT) – The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday enjoined the public to disregard a circulating list of purported ambassadorial nominees, describing it as fake.
According to the Ministry, the appointment of ambassadors is a prerogative of the President, and no such appointments have been made.
In a statement signed by Acting Spokesperson Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the Ministry emphasized that the list in circulation on social media platforms is entirely false and should be disregarded.
This move aims to quell speculation and misinformation surrounding the ambassadorial appointments.
The Ministry stated that “It is essential to note that the Ministry’s clarification underscores the importance of verifying information through official channels to avoid spreading misinformation. “
The Acting Spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, in the statement reinforces the Ministry commitment to transparency and accuracy in its communications.
