CP Baba Azare Vows to Tackle Crime in Akwa Ibom

CP Baba Azare Vows to Tackle Crime in Akwa Ibom

KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) – The newly-appointed Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare fsi, has pledged to tackled the rising wave of crime in Akwa Ibom State.
 Cp Baba Mohammed Azare who spoke when he paid a courtesy visit to the state Governor, Pastor Umo Eno at the Government House in Uyo, assured the Governor of his commitment to collaborating with other security agencies with a view to ensuring peace and security prevail in the state.
CP Azare, who identified pockets of kidnappings, armed robbery, communal clashes, and homicidal cases as some of the security challenges facing the state, assured the Governor that his team and in collaboration with the DSS in the state have  commenced profiling the sponsors of communal clashes and will soon submit an interim report.
The new Police Commissioner also pledged to engage the youth in dialogue to promote peaceful coexistence and to collaborate with other security agencies to bring an end to security challenges in the state.
Already, the new Sheriff has, in a bid to enhance community policing, told the Governor that he directed the command’s Public Relations Officer to make his phone number and those of other principal officers available to the public for easy access.
Perhaps with the new strategies adopted by CP Azare, the people of Akwa Ibom State can expect a renewed focus on tackling crime and promoting peace and security. With his wealth of experience and commitment to community policing, CP Azare is poised to make a positive impact in the state.
Governor Eno, while welcoming CP Azare, expressed satisfaction with the choice of the new Police Commissioner, citing his previous experience as Deputy Commissioner, Operations in the state. The Governor also commended the new CP’s plan to engage the youth in community policing, saying it aligns with the state government’s efforts to enhance peace and development.
Governor Umo Eno assured the newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare fsi, of his administration’s support in tackling crime and maintaining peace in the state.
He particularly commended the choice of the new Police Commissioner, citing his previous experience as Deputy Commissioner, Operations in the state, which has provided him with adequate knowledge of the terrain and its security situation.
He also decried the spate of vandalization of public facilities, especially transformers, which he said costs the government a lot to replace and hinders rural development.
Governor Eno congratulated CP Azare on his promotion and posting to the state, assuring him of his administration’s commitment to supporting the police in maintaining peace and security.
