Zuru Emirate Council Announces Official Title For New Emir

KANO – The Zuru Emirate Council on Wednesday announced that the new Emir of Zuru, Muhammadu Sanusi Mika’ilu, is now to be officially known as His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi Mika’ilu (Sami Gomo III), Emir of Zuru.
A press release signed by Alhaji Muhammad Yahaya Marafa, Secretary of the Zuru Emirate Council, the council stated, “This official designation reflects the continuity of the Emirate’s rich cultural heritage and the illustrious lineage of the Zuru throne.”
The statement said the new title will be used in all traditional, official, and public references to the Emir.
The new Emir, His Royal Highness Muhammadu Sanusi Mika’ilu (Sami Gomo III), expressed gratitude to the people of Zuru Emirate and supporters across Nigeria and beyond.
“His Royal Highness extends his heartfelt appreciation to the sons and daughters of Zuru Emirate, as well as friends and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond, for their prayers, loyalty, and unwavering support during this historic transition,” the statement read.
Alhaji Muhammad Yahaya Marafa, who signed the press release, is the Secretary of the Zuru Emirate Council. The council prayed for a reign marked by wisdom, peace, and prosperity for the Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, and Nigeria.
The Zuru Emirate Council prays that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants His Highness a reign of wisdom, peace, and prosperity for the Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, and the nation at large.”
The announcement underscores the rich cultural traditions of the Zuru Emirate and the significance of the Emir’s role in Kebbi State.
