Yusuf Restrures Cabinet, Boots Out Sagagi as Commissioner

KANO — Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has restructured his cabinet, removing Shehu Wada Sagagi as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry.

The decision, announced early Thursday, takes immediate effect, according to a statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson and Director General, Media and Publicity, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The statement said Sagagi has been directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Commerce pending further directives.

It explained that the move forms part of an ongoing strategic realignment of government structures aimed at enhancing efficiency and achieving sustainable development.

The restructuring is seen as part of broader efforts by the Yusuf administration to reposition key sectors for improved performance.

Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation for Sagagi’s service during his tenure, acknowledging his contributions to governance, particularly in the areas of politics, religion, and the development of small and medium enterprises.

He wished the former commissioner success in his future endeavours.

The governor also reassured residents of Kano State of his administration’s continued commitment to effective service delivery and good governance.
