By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul
KANO  – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, on Tuesday linked the expected defection of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his supporters to the party as responsible for the delay in kickoff of its membership e-registration exercise.

The tough talking Chairman, said “The delay in Kano is not because we are unprepared, but because we are expecting new members to join the party, which will further strengthen our base”.
Abbas revealed that Registration Agents were drawn from all 44 local government areas of the state, are being trained to operate the electronic registration equipment that will be used to enroll prospective members in their respective areas.
He urged the registration agents to carry out their duties diligently and without discrimination. “Give every eligible person the opportunity to register so as to attain our noble objective,” he said, adding that attention to training details is critical to conducting the exercise effectively.
Abbas warned that excuses for poor performance would not be tolerated. “Any of you who feels that he cannot perform in this exercise, let him indicate his handicap right here and now, because we will not entertain any failure or excuses hereafter”.
