Dr. Mustapha said “Today, we are commencing the installation of a 4MW solar hybrid system with 100% battery storage at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano State. “
He stated that “In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, this project will take the hospital completely off the National Grid and guarantee steady power for quality healthcare.”
The ECN boss stressed that “This intervention aims to prevent recurring power outages, such as the recent one that disrupted hospital operations and led to the deaths of three patients.”
He added that “With this project, we are ensuring such incidents never recur. Our commitment at ECN is clear: to deliver clean, reliable energy solutions that strengthen our health institutions and improve the lives of Nigerians.”
