Takai’s Appointment Sparks Optimism For Kano’s Mass Poor – Kwankwaso

KANO – Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, Director of Finance at Hadejia Jamaare River Basin, on Tuesday hailed President Ahmad Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Mallam Salihu Sagir Takai as Kano State Coordinator of the Renewed Hopes Agenda.
In a statement, Kwankwaso said the appointment is a welcome development that will boost efforts to emancipate the downtrodden in Kano State.
He said “Senator Barau Jibrin and President Tinubu deserve commendation for this appointment”.
Kwankwaso stressed that “They have taken a significant step towards addressing poverty in Kano, and we appreciate their commitment to the well-being of the people.”
Kwankwaso similarly praised Takai’s track record, citing his honesty, prudent financial discipline, and maturity.
He noted that “Takai is well-known for his integrity and maturity, and we are confident he will make a positive impact in the state.”
He recalled that Takai was anointed as the sole ANPP gubernatorial candidate in 2011 by Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, and has consistently demonstrated integrity in his roles as Local Government Chairman and Commissioner.
“In all the offices he has held, Takai has left no marks of questionable characterization,” Kwankwaso said.
The Director of Finance also commended President Tinubu’s foresight, saying it will endear him to the Kano people and secure their support in future elections.
“We heartily thank President Tinubu for his vision, and we assure him that he has the support of the Kano people,” he said.
Kwankwaso added that the President’s appointments of Kano people to strategic positions demonstrate his commitment to the well-being of all Nigerians, and expressed optimism that the Renewed Hopes Agenda will bring positive change to the state.
