RE: Aranposu’s Defection and Unprovoked Mockery of Dr. Abba Umar Ganduje
By Faizu Alfindiki
Our attention has been drawn to recent irresponsible remarks made by Aranposu against Hon. Abba Umar Ganduje remarks that reek of betrayal, ingratitude, and political desperation.
It is important to remind the public that Aranposu did not rise to political relevance on his own. His journey to becoming Chairman of the Nasarawa Local Government Area Council was made possible largely due to the support moral, political, and financial of Hon. Abba Umar Ganduje. When many doubted him, Abba Ganduje believed in him. When resources were needed, Ganduje provided. The same man he now mocks is the very person who gave him the platform to stand on.
Aranposu’s defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) only confirms what many have known all along: that his political ambition is driven not by principles or service, but by naivety and dishonesty. It is unfortunate that a man who was once lifted through loyalty has chosen to repay his benefactor with cheap mockery, simply because he now believes he has “raised enough money to talk.”
Politics should never be reduced to a platform for reckless speech or a theater of ingratitude. Leadership is earned through values, not noise.
It is therefore disappointing if not shameful that the same individual would now turn around to mock the very hand that once fed and empowered him. In politics, disagreements may occur, but gratitude and respect must never be lost
