NNPP Returns Dungurawa as Party Chairman

KANO — The Kano chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), on Saturday elected Dr. Hashim Suleiman Dungurawa as its new state chairman during a peaceful congress held at the party’s secretariat on Lugard Road, Nasarawa GRA, Kano.
The congress was chaired by the former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who supervised the exercise alongside other prominent stakeholders of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
The event also had in attendance the Senator representing Kano Central, Baba Rufa’i Sani Hanga, as well as other key party figures who expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the process.
Security and electoral agencies were present to monitor proceedings, including representatives of the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, all of whom observed the congress to ensure order and credibility.
Delegates from all the 44 local government areas of Kano State participating in the exercise without any reported incidents of violence or disruption.
At the end of the voting process, party leaders unanimously adopted Dr. Hashim Suleiman Dungurawa as the new NNPP chairman in Kano State.
Speaking after the announcement, stakeholders commended the unity displayed by party members, noting that the outcome would strengthen the NNPP’s internal cohesion ahead of future political engagements in the state and beyond.
