Nagoda Conducts Surprise Audit, Promises Better Healthcare Services

KANO — The Executive Secretary of the Kano State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, has conducted an unscheduled inspection of two government hospitals in Kano, reaffirming the state’s commitment to improving healthcare services.
The surprise visit took him and other senior officials of the board to Malam Shaaibu Hospital in Gwagwarwa and Malam Jafar Hospital in Dakata, both located in Nassarawa Local Government Area.
A statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Samira Suleiman, the exercise was part of ongoing efforts to assess service delivery, staff performance, patient care and the condition of facilities across government hospitals.
During the visit, Dr. Nagoda toured key departments, interacted with healthcare workers and patients, and inspected the availability and functionality of medical equipment and infrastructure.
He said the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remains committed to repositioning the healthcare sector and ensuring that residents have access to quality medical services.
“The present administration is determined to transform the healthcare sector in line with global best practices,” Nagoda was quoted as saying.
The Executive Secretary commended dedicated health workers for their commitment to duty and urged them to sustain professionalism, compassion and excellence in serving patients.
He also stressed that both scheduled and unscheduled inspections would continue across hospitals under the board’s supervision to promote accountability, discipline and efficiency.
Nagoda further assured residents that the Hospitals Management Board would continue to identify and address gaps in healthcare delivery, saying no effort would be spared in providing affordable and quality healthcare services to the people of Kano State.
