Legendary Broadcaster, Gestso Dies In Kano

KANO – Kano was thrown into mourning on Sunday following the reported death of Iconic Broadcaster, Aliyu Abubakar Getso.
Family sources confirmed that the legendary
Broadcaster who has been battling with ill health gave up the ghost on Sunday morning.
Getso who traversed notable Radio broadcast stations in the North that includes Kano State Radio Corporation, Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM was renowned for mastery and professionalism.
Barring any last minute changes, the funeral prayer (Janazah) will hold at 9:30 a.m. today (Sunday) at his Janbulo Second Gate residence located at Kabuga general area of Kano metropolis.
The late Getso was survived by three wives, several children, and grandchildren.
