Kwankwaso Insists Yusuf, Ganduje Are My Boys

By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul

KANO —- The strongman of Kano politics, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Wednesday insisted that Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and former governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje are his political sons.

Kwankwaso who made the remark at his Kano Miller Road residence while addressing elite group of Kwankwasiyya movement described as an insult attempt to rejected the toga .

The NDC National Leader’s remarks midweek
are believed to be connected to recent reactions from Governor Yusuf who query his estranged godfather saying “how can a 69 year old referred to 63 years old as his boy”

It was not clear why Kwankwaso decided to rope in Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who has remained largely anonymous since the disagreement between him and Yusuf in his latest remarks.

Kwankwaso who was dresssed in his traditional white flowing gown with a red cap to match, said “i was made to understand that few don’t wanted to be referred to as my boy”, as the packed conference exploded in thunderous laughter.

Sounding firm, and resolute, the NDC frontliner told the gathering in Hausa thus: “If it is not out of disrespect, will Abba Kabir Yusuf say he is not my political son? If it is not out of disrespect, will Abdullahi Umar Ganduje say he is not my political son?”

The entire hall clapped in affirmation to Kwankwaso’s claim to political mentorship of the two prominent Kano political figures in recent history.
