Kano Hospitals Board Urges Public to Ignore Fake Recruitment Notice

KANO — The Kano State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) has dismissed as false a social media announcement claiming that a date had been fixed for the official presentation of offer letters to newly recruited healthcare workers.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Samira Suleiman, urged the public to disregard the information.
The Board’s Public Relations Officer said the purported notice neither originated from the HMB nor the Kano State Ministry of Health, stressing that no date had been approved for the exercise.
“The Board wishes to categorically state that the announcement is false, misleading, and did not emanate from either the Kano State Hospitals Management Board or the Kano State Ministry of Health,” Suleiman said.
The information officer added that the official date for the presentation of offer letters “has not yet been finalized.”
She advised successful applicants and their families to rely exclusively on information released through the Office of the Governor, the Ministry of Health, or the Hospitals Management Board, warning that unofficial announcements were intended to mislead the public and create unnecessary anxiety.
Suleiman assured prospective employees that the Board would announce the date for the presentation of offer letters through appropriate government channels once all necessary approvals had been secured, reaffirming the Board’s commitment to due process, transparency, and timely public communication.
