EXCLUSIVE: Fati Cele Battles Severe Burn, Injuries in Kano Hospital

KANO — Popular Kano-based TikTok personality, Fati Cele, is receiving treatment in hospital after suffering severe burn injuries in an incident that consumed the life of her boyfriend, Isma’il Makaye last Friday.
Photographs reportedly obtained by this newspaper showed the extent of the injuries sustained by the social media influencer, with visible burns affecting parts of her body, particularly her right arm and right leg. The images suggest that the injuries are more severe than earlier accounts circulating online had indicated.
Medical personnel familiar with her condition, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly, described the injuries as extensive and likely to require prolonged medical care and rehabilitation.
According to one of the sources, Fati Cele had suffered significant damage to parts of her right hand and foot as a result of the burns.
“The injuries are serious and have had a profound impact on her physical condition. She is undergoing treatment and remains under close medical observation,” the source said.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as of the time of filing this report, with no official statement yet issued by hospital authorities or security agencies regarding the cause of the burns.
