KANO  –  The Kano Police Officers’ mess was agog with fanfare on Monday as hundreds of family members and loved ones gathered to witness the decoration of the incumbent Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, and 28 others by the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.
A fair number of social media influencers attended the ceremony to celebrate the newly promoted officers, recognising their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service.
In a speech at the ceremony, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, the Commissioner of Police, Kano Command, said “The challenges facing our nation today require innovative thinking, unwavering commitment, and teamwork. I trust that you will rise to these expectations, lead by example, and inspire your subordinates to do the same.”
He stressed that “Remember, with higher ranks come greater accountability and the need to demonstrate exceptional leadership at all times.”
The CP said that “2 officers have been promoted from Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)”
Adamu Bakori revealed that “21 officers have been elevated from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), while 6 officers have risen from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP).”
He cautioned the newly decorated officers that “Your promotion is not merely a reward for your past accomplishments but also a call to greater responsibility and higher expectations.”
“As you adorn your new ranks, 1 urge you to rededicate yourselves to the noble ideals of integrity, discipline, and selfless service that define our profession”, Bakori admonished the newly promoted officers
