KANO — The ancient city of Kano was thrown into shock and mourning on Thursday, following reports that a woman who recently gave birth to quintuplets at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital died on Wednesday night, just hours after delivery.
Local Radio station reports that the tragic development was confirmed following her admission at the hospital in Kano, where she had successfully delivered five babies earlier in the day.
However, medical sources confided on finenewsng.com that the mother’s condition deteriorated rapidly after childbirth, despite efforts by health personnel to stabilize her.
The quintuplets are said to be receiving intensive medical care at the facility, though their current condition has not yet been officially disclosed.
