KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) – A stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Faizu Alfindiki on Tuesday enjoined the embattled NNPP Senator, Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila to return to his natural abode in the ruling party for the progress of greater Kano.
Faizu Alfindiki who spoke in Kano against the backdrop of festering crisis between Senator Kawu Sumaila, and his NNPP party leadership explained that the Kano South senator should understand he is ‘cohabiting with strange bedfellows.’
Alfindi said “The Distinguished Senator Kawu Sumaila that I know cannot be free where politics is seen by the tribal chief of Kwankwasiyya movement as servitude. “
He stated that “We were part of Kwankwasiyya for years, and from my experience, the movement was built on servitude and slavery, you don’t have a say, talkless of political liberty”.
The tough talking APC stalwart stressed that “Certainly, frontline politicians like Senator Kawu, and Alhassan Rurum known for their progressive political touch can’t fit in an enclosed circus”.
The top flight APC chieftain lamented that Kwankwasiyya movement ideology is “antithetical to democracy”, pointing out progressives politicians like Senator Kawu, and Rurum were drawn into NNPP by the exigencies of interest.
Alfindiki who was the immediate past Chairman of Kano Municipal therefore appealed to the twosome, and their likes in NNPP that “APC is your home despite the misunderstanding of the past, in it your freedom is assured, and guaranteed.”
