KANO — The Ebira Youth Consultative Forum (EYCF), Kano Chapter, last weekend commissioned a borehole and furniture provided by the group for the Ebira Community House in Kano.

The projects, executed under the leadership of the forum’s President, Comrade Abu-Ramadan, were commissioned by the Odeyani of Ebira Community in Kano and Jigawa States, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulmalik, at a well-attended ceremony.

In his remarks, Abdulmalik praised the youth for turning his long-standing aspiration for the community into reality.

He described the intervention as timely and impactful, urging the youth to sustain the spirit of unity and service to the community.

The Odeyani said the borehole would help address water needs at the community facility, while the furniture would enhance its use for meetings and other activities.

Speaking at the event, Abu-Ramadan thanked members and supporters of the forum for contributing to the success of the projects, saying the initiative was part of broader efforts to improve the welfare of Ebira people in Kano.

He said the forum would continue to mobilise support for other projects in the pipeline, while urging members of the community to sustain their support for the organisation.

The youth leader also acknowledged the contributions of the Upogoro Progressive Circle, Surveyor Raji and other supporters who contributed to the project.

Also speaking, Alhaji M.J. Aliyu, the Garkuwan Ebira Nasarawa, urged the youth to complement their community development efforts with economic advocacy in Kogi State.

Aliyu called on the forum to prepare a proposal for the establishment of industrial parks alongside the ongoing airport project in Kogi State, saying such initiatives could create jobs and provide economic opportunities for Ebira youths.
