KANO — The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) governorship candidate in Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has pledged to provide training opportunities for young social media influencers and content creators aligned with the Kwankwasiyya movement, describing them as critical partners in modern political communication.

Speaking during a meeting with over 132 members of the Kwankwasiyya social media team in Kano, Gwarzo commended the group’s commitment to promoting the movement’s activities across various digital platforms, including Facebook, X, TikTok, and Instagram.

He said the team’s efforts had significantly enhanced the movement’s visibility and engagement among the public, noting that their contributions had not gone unnoticed by the leadership of the movement.

“We have so much respect for the Kwankwasiyya social media team, and they are making us proud,” Gwarzo was quoted as saying in a statement issued on Thursday by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu.

The NDC governorship candidate stressed the need for continuous learning in the rapidly evolving digital landscape, assuring the influencers that training and retraining programmes would be prioritised to improve their effectiveness.

“We believe in training and retraining. We will ensure that training opportunities are provided to you, including modern technological tools and techniques that will enhance your performance,” he said.

Gwarzo also conveyed the appreciation of the movement’s national leader and NDC vice-presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, saying he was pleased with the dedication and achievements of the social media team.

“Our national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is very happy with you and proud of your performance,” he told the gathering.

He further urged members of the team to remain focused, professional and ethical in their online engagements, while assuring them of continued support as they work to broaden the movement’s reach and strengthen public engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
