KANO  –  President Ahmad Bola Tinubu’s continued support to the families of late Nigerian leaders and his keeping in touch with them has been described as a great sign of a man of good heart and love for humanity.
Recently, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President, was delegated by President Tinubu to visit Sokoto and condole with the family of late President Shehu Shagari’s wife, Hajiya Sutura Shagari, who died a few weeks ago.
This gesture follows President Tinubu’s frequent touches with the family of his predecessor, General Muhammadu Buhari, which shows great kindness and humane attributes, by attending his burial prayers ceremony.
Speaking in a release he personally signed, the Director of Finance, Hadejia Jamaare River Basin, Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, Monday, explained that, “President Tinubu today remains the first leader who keeps in real touch with the families of late Nigerian leaders.”
He said, “Politics aside, what President Tinubu is doing is a great, godly act that openly shows his kindness, human nature, and concerns for the well-being of his predecessors’ families.”
Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso explained that these attributes of the President have truly endeared him to many Nigerians, who see a true leader with a heart of humanity and love for his citizens.
“The President Tinubu’s several visits to Aisha Buhari, the wife of the late President Buhari, and his wife bringing closer the wives of former leaders, including naming several places for them and their husbands, has made Tinubu a man of tremendous peace and harmony,” he said.
Musa Kwankwaso urged Nigerians to strive and emulate what the President is doing, even at their own levels, by maintaining touch with the families of their friends and cronies. This, he added, would go a long way in building a strong nation.
“Let me also commend the support of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to his boss, believing in the fact that together they will achieve a prosperous country devoid of hate, tribal and religious sentiments,” he said.
