KANO — Political appointees of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from Kano State have pledged to deliver an unprecedented number of votes for the President in the 2027 general election, declaring their commitment to consolidating support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the state.

The inaugural meeting was convened at the instance of Governor Yusuf and attracted prominent APC leaders and federal appointees from Kano, including former Kano State Governor and immediate past APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Kano APC Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa; ministers, presidential aides, heads of federal agencies, chairmen of parastatals and members of governing boards.

The commitment was contained in a communiqué issued at the inaugural meeting of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter, held at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

The communiqué, signed by the Convener of the forum and Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Basheer Lado, said members resolved to mobilise political support for President Tinubu’s re-election, citing what they described as the administration’s developmental strides in Kano State and across the country.

“The Forum is committed, day and night, to ensuring that Mr. President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, records the highest votes ever in the next presidential election, come 2027, In Sha Allah,” the communiqué stated.

The forum also congratulated President Tinubu on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima, describing the nomination as a reflection of confidence in the administration’s leadership and achievements.

Beyond its electoral commitment, the forum reaffirmed its dedication to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging to support policies and programmes designed to promote national development and improve the welfare of Nigerians.

The gathering further endorsed Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and his running mate, Murtala Sule Garo, following their emergence as the APC governorship candidates in the state. It also congratulated the party’s National and State Assembly flag bearers ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to the communiqué, the forum reiterated its support for Governor Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda, describing it as complementary to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and capable of accelerating development in the state.

The appointees also called on members of the APC in Kano State to remain united, urging residents to continue supporting the Federal Government and praying for sustained peace, stability and prosperity under President Tinubu’s leadership.
