KANO – North-West Development Commission (NWDC), in strategic partnership with the National Productivity Center (NPC), on Thursday agreed on a plan to enhance productivity across the seven North-West states.
The joint venture was announced in Abuja when the Managing Director of the North-West Development Commission (NWDC), Professor Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, visited the Director-General of the National Productivity Center (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, in his office, to support joint capacity-building programs in the agriculture, manufacturing, and SME sectors.
In his welcome address the Director General of NPC, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi explained the initiative and expressed NPC’s readiness to support NWDC’s developmental agenda through joint training programs, productivity assessments, and technical assistance.
Baffa Babba Dan Agundi said “The Commission remains committed to building strategic alliances with federal agencies to fulfill its mandate of promoting socio-economic development in Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara.”
He, however, lauded the North-West Development Commission (NWDC) Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, for the visit, as he stressed that such inter-agency collaboration would no doubt assist in achieving their statutory mandate.
