Kano Sports Stakeholders Eye 100,000 Capacity Stadium Via Sponsorship Deals

KANO – Kano Football Stakeholders on Friday urged Kano Pillars and Barau FC to showcase their talent to attract Corporate organizations’ support in building a 100,000-seater modern stadium in Kano.
A signed Communique that was made available to Reporters in Kano at the end of the Sports and Football Stakeholders Meeting called for synergy between the two top Premier League sides that will represent Kano State in the upcoming Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/2026 season to achieved the set goals.
The Stakeholders comprises representatives from Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN ) Kano State chapter, State Sports commission , Kano State Football Association, Kano Pillars Football Club and Barau FC Football Club members.
The Communique hailed “the Management of the clubs, fans, and the leadership of Kano Pillars Football Team for their commitment to uphold the principles of fairness and more importantly the campaign against drugs addiction by solemnly pledging to work together to promote cleanliness in that respect aimed at proving cynics wrong as the premier league will kick off”.
The Stakeholders further recognized “the lay out plans, actions , strategy and agenda for the two premiership sides during 2025/26 season “.
The Communique enjoined Stakeholders to “promote football inclusiveness and development of communities in line with FIFA /CAF /NFF /FA rules and regulations with a view to avoiding any set back for the clubs that will fly the flag of the state in NPFL. and the entire Football family.”
The resolution also “emphasized the need for increased funding and sponsorship to support Football development in the state and beyond ” .
The Stakeholders meetings, urged “both Pillars and Barau FC Supporters Club, to preach the gospel of mutual understanding and respect with a view to ensuring the ends justify the means being the hub of Football across Northern part of the country.”
