Kano Residents Hail Alfindiki Foundation Water Supply Efforts
By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul
KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) –  Kano residents have lavished praise on the Alfindiki Foundation for its unwavering commitment to providing reliable water supply to the metropolis, alleviating the suffering of millions amidst a crippling water scarcity.
The city’s water woes began with a devastating power outage, which crippled the water treatment plants and left residents scrambling for alternative sources.
However, the Alfindiki Foundation swiftly intervened, deploying tens of water tankers to supply water to the desperate population.
Prior to the Foundation’s intervention, Kano’s water supply had ground to a halt due to decayed wiring systems and inadequate supply from treatment plants.
But with Alfindiki Foundation’s robust water supply, the narrative has changed. Residents now access clean water with ease, and the once-despondent atmosphere has given way to joy and gratitude.
“It’s a big relief,” exclaimed Ali Isa, a resident. “You can see for yourself, the expression of joy in the faces of the city dwellers around here tell the story. We no longer budget for vendor-supplied water.”
A 21-year-old resident echoed Isa’s sentiments, saying, “We’re happy because the anxiety of water supply has been taken off.”
Alhaji Faizu Alfindiki, Chairman, Board of Directors, Alfindiki Foundation, attributed his organization’s efforts to his experience as a former public officer. “I know the importance and essence of water to residents. I’m only consolidating what I did in office.”
The former chairman, Kano Municipal Council emphasized, “I cannot allow my people to wallow in need. That’s why I sacrifice to make them happy.”
