Kano Advert Agency Targets N1.5 Billion Revenue in Q4 2025
By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul
KANO  –  Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency on Thursday said it’s targeting N1.5 billion in revenue for the last three months of 2025.
Kabiru Dakata, the Director General of the newly established agency told Reporters in Kano the agency has sets a five-year revenue collection target.
The Director-General of the agency, stated that the five-year revenue collection target aims to collect N3 billion in 2026, N5 billion in 2027, and over N10 billion yearly in the second term of the government.
Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration a couple of months ago established the Agency to regulate outdoor advertisements in line with extant laws.
Mr. Dakata said “Even though KASA is a new agency established by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to regulate outdoor advertisements, we will use both enforcement and revenue collection.”
He explained that part of the enforcement includes ensuring that outdoor advertisement signage posts align with and comply with the agency’s rules and regulations.
The DG disclosed that “violations of the guidelines will attract punishments such as one month’s imprisonment, three months of community service, or payment of fines ranging from N100,000 to N500,000. “
Kabiru Dakata hinted that the agency is collaborating with other outdoor advertisement agencies to work in unison, regulate duplication of jobs, and ensure they operate within the law.
The Director-General explained that they have commenced the registration of business owners using signage advertisement posts and are working with the State Urban Development authority, KNUPDA, to sanitize the rampant posting of advertisements on public places.
“We will also correct the use of vulgar words and words that go against community sensitivity in advertisements.”
