Helicopter Crash  : Search, Rescue Operation Ongoing   – NNPCL

KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) – The NNPC Ltd on Sunday  said that it has intensified search and rescue operations with relevant authorities for the recovery of remaining bodies in the Ill fated aircraft in the rich creek of Port Harcourt.

A statement  by Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd that was made available to newsmen the ongoing effort is coming on the heels of three bodies found.

The ill-fated helicopter operated by East Winds Aviation that crashed on Thursday in Port Harcourt with 8 passengers on board.

Mr. Soneye explained that beyond what was recovered initially, no other bodies have been retrieved from the crash site so far.

The Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd said “Once again, our hearts and prayers are with family members of this unfortunate incident.”
