KANO — Popular Kannywood actress Hadiza Aliyu Gabon has become the subject of intense social media debate following allegations circulated online by Hafsat, a wife of businessman Saleem Goje.
The controversy gained traction after posts shared on Instagram accused the actress of maintaining an inappropriate relationship with the married businessman.
The posts were accompanied by screenshots of purported text messages and photographs which social media users have widely circulated as evidence.
The allegations have generated heated reactions across Hausa-speaking social media platforms, with supporters and critics of the actress expressing differing views on the claims.
As of the time of filing this report, the authenticity of the screenshots and photographs circulating online had not been independently verified.
No official forensic examination or third-party confirmation of the materials has been made public.
The development has also reignited conversations about privacy, celebrity culture and the growing influence of social media in shaping public perception before allegations are tested or verified.
Neither Hadiza Gabon nor Saleem Goje had issued a widely reported public statement directly addressing the allegations at the time of this report.
Efforts to obtain comments from the parties involved were unsuccessful.
Adnan Mukhtar Tudunwada, a University Don, in a reaction he published on his Facebook page said “If the reports about Hadiza Gabon are true, then it is indeed a sad situation”.
