Gov. Ododo Seeks NASRDA Backing For Kogi’s Development Initiatives

KANO ( Kano, North West Nigeria) –  Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Monday solicited the support of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) in tackling insecurity, enhancing agriculture, and driving development in critical sectors.
During a meeting with NASRDA’s Director General, Dr. Mathew Olumide Adepoju, Governor Ododo emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to strengthen the state’s Geographic Information System (GIS).
A statement by Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser Media that was made available to Finenews Nigeria explained that “This partnership aims to facilitate land reforms, promote food security, and ensure the safety of lives and property.”
Ismaila Isah said Governor Ododo at the meeting acknowledged NASRDA’s technological prowess and innovative capabilities, urging the agency to provide technical assistance to drive development in areas outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the agency and the state government.
In his remarks, Dr. Adepoju commended Governor Ododo’s administration for its achievements in infrastructural development and other areas. He praised the Governor’s commitment to leveraging space technology to combat insecurity and promote development.
The NASRDA-Kogi state partnership is expected to yield mutual benefits, driving sustainable growth and development in the state.
This collaboration aligns with Governor Ododo’s vision for Kogi State, as outlined in the state’s development plan.
