Breaking : PDP Crowns Kibiya, Kwankwaso’s Ex Commissioner As Chairman

KANO (Nigeria) – After grueling hours of horse trading at the Pillars Stadium, Sabon Gari in Kano, overwhelming majority of the People’s Democratic Party PDP delegates at the wee hours of Sunday elected Alhaji Ado Kibiya as the new Chairman of the state Chapter.
Alhaji Yusuf Ado Kibiya, a one time Commissioner for Agriculture under Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s administration between 1999 to 2003, went into the election with backing almost all the party’s influential leaders.
Kibiya’s choice to lead the party from the ashes of intra party wrangling that humiliated the brand in an embarrassing outing in 2023 General elections might not be unconnected with his “experience, and loyalty to the party “.
Yusuf Ado Kibiya machine overran Nura Nuhu, and one other contestant unknown in Kano political cycle in a landslide victory.
The new Chairman has since been sworn in to conduct the affairs of the party in the state.
