Developing story  : Kwankwaso’s Ex Commissioner Set To Clinch PDP Chairman

By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul
KANO (Nigeria) –  Barring any last minute change, a one time Commissioner for Agriculture under Rabiu Musa  Kwankwaso’s administration between 1999 to 2003, Alhaji Yusuf Ado Kibiya looked set to clinch the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ado Kibiya is said to enjoyed the backing of almost all the party’s influential leaders who had since settled for his candidacy to lead the party from ashes to glory.
Feelers from the stadium indicated the consensus among stakeholders might not be unconnected with his “experience, and loyalty to the party “
As PDP faithful gathered at the 10000 capacity  Pillars Stadium, Sabon Gari to chat a new beginning, pundits are confident Yusuf Ado Kibiya machine will overrun the other two contenders to the throne who  are unknown in Kano political cycle.
However, colourful and intimidating posters of Ado Kibiya dotted strategic spot at the Pillars Stadium, Sabon Gari venue of the make or mar Congress.
A PDP chieftain, Zakari Nura told Finenews that “Kibiya candidacy remains the best option for a party that has failed to rediscover its winning strategy in competitive exercise”
Nura said “Kibiya’s experience and acceptance to major stakeholders is his big asset in this exercise, as he remained at home with the old and the young yearning for a change of fortunes”
Details soon.
