KANO — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his confidence in media aide Abdulaziz Abdulaziz by approving the restructuring of his appointment and confirming him as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Public Enlightenment.
Abdulaziz disclosed this via his verified Facebook page after receiving his renewed appointment letter, describing the development as a significant honour and a reflection of the President’s trust in his contributions to the Presidential Communications Team.
Abdulaziz Abdulaziz said the restructuring aligns his responsibilities with his official designation as earlier approved by President Tinubu on April 23, 2026.
“This is a great honour and a demonstration of the President’s confidence in my contributions within the Presidential Communications Team,” Abdulaziz said.
He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for what he described as continued support and confidence, pledging to justify the trust reposed in him through diligent service.
Abdulaziz also acknowledged the support of leaders and colleagues within the communications team, saying their cooperation and guidance had contributed immensely to his work.
He further extended appreciation to friends, associates and stakeholders in the media industry for their encouragement and contributions to his professional achievements.
Describing the appointment as a fresh responsibility, Abdulaziz said it comes with greater expectations and a renewed commitment to national service.
“This is a new challenge that requires greater commitment, dedication and diligence in serving the nation,” he stated.
