KANO —- The former Kano State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Shehu Wada Sagagi, has returned the official government vehicle assigned to him following his exit from the state cabinet.
The development was disclosed in a letter addressed to the Secretary to the Kano State Government, in which Sagagi confirmed the handover of the vehicle in line with established procedures.
According to the letter, the ex-commissioner stated that he returned the vehicle, a Changama model, along with all its accompanying documents to the appropriate authorities.
Sagagi noted that his action was guided by the need to comply with government regulations governing the use and return of public assets by political appointees.
He explained that returning the vehicle was part of his responsibility after completing his tenure in office, adding that he ensured all due processes were strictly followed.
Highly placed sources familiar with the development said the move reflects adherence to administrative protocols, especially in the transition process involving outgoing government officials.
However, Sagagi’s swift action has drawn attention amid ongoing discussions about accountability and proper management of public resources in the state.
