Ramadan Feeding: Rimin-Gado Hosts Iftar For 1500 In 10 Centres, Provides Aid To Vulnerable Group

KANO — Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado, the Chairman, Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, on Sunday distributed cash gifts and food items to over two thousand women and orphans.
This was in addition to offer of Iftar to 1500 Muslims in about 10 centres across the state for the next 30 days.
The event which took place at his country home, Rimi Gado amid heavy security presence was a gesture by unnamed Philanthropist who chose to be anonymous.
Rimin-Gado residence was besieged as early as 9:00 am by potential beneficiaries who had earlier received tellers from the local Committee handling the annual rituals.
Daily INDEPENDENT Correspondent who was at the scene reports the atmosphere was filled with excitement and gratitude as the women and orphans collected their packages. Many of them could not hide their tears of joy, thanking anonymous donor for his kindness.
One of the beneficiaries, Ina Maude expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the unnamed philanthropist, adding that “We are so grateful for this kindness”.
Ina Maude said “The cash gift and food items will go a long way in supporting our families during this holy month.”
Another beneficiary, a young orphan, Musa Abdullahi thanked Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado for his honesty that warranted the trust.
He said “We are orphans, and we don’t have anyone to take care of us, But the philanthropist through Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado has shown us that there are still kind people in this world.”
