The Media Group noted that “It is a particularly painful loss, coming at a crucial time when Kogi State is experiencing remarkable and tremendous development under the leadership of his son, Governor Usman Ododo.”

The Guild praised the late patriarch for raising a son who has dedicated his life to public service and the progress of Kogi State.

“The legacy of Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo will live on through the good works of his son, and we pray that his soul finds eternal rest,” the statement said.

The Guild’s statement read in parts : “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un” (Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return). The Guild prayed to Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus (the highest level of paradise).”

“May Almighty Allah comfort the Governor, his immediate family, and the entire Ododo clan, granting them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We pray that the Almighty grants him the light of His mercy in his grave, making it spacious and filled with tranquility,” the Guild prayed.
