Kwankwaso Enjoins Politicians To Applaud Tinubu’s Achievements In Combating Insecurity

By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul

KANO – Alhaji (Dr) Ilyasu Musa Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state during the weekend called on politicians to acknowledge progress on Tinubu’s war against insecurity.

Iliyasu Kwankwaso who spoke in Kano emphasized that politicians should commend the government’s achievements in combating terrorism, rather than solely criticizing its efforts

Kwankwaso however attributed the successes recorded in Sokoto and Zamfara states to the untiring efforts of the combined team of the state actors under the supervision of the State Minister for Defense, Bello Matawalle.

He noted that Matawalle’s relocation to Sokoto has yielded significant results, including the reopening of previously deserted routes.

Kwankwaso stated, “There are a lot of successes being achieved in the fight against terrorism in parts of Sokoto, but you will never hear those big politicians mention it and commending the Federal government on it.”

He also disclosed that President Bola Tinubu directed Matawalle to militarize danger areas, leading to the establishment of military bases in places like Gundumi.

“It is clear that President Tinubu is concerned about the problem of insecurity in the north and is working to proffer a solution to it,” Kwankwaso said. “The elders in the north and the politicians should come out and support these efforts of Mr. President.”

Kwankwaso also praised Vice President Kashim Shetima for maintaining his principal’s stance and working towards eliminating terrorism.

Additionally, he urged state governors to effectively utilize funds released by the president, which would alleviate the suffering of the people and make life easier for all.
