Kano Council Polls Hit Snag As Court Sacks KANSIEC Chairman, 5 Others
The upcoming Kano Council election, scheduled for October 26th, has hit a major roadblock sequel to a court verdict that disqualified the (KANSIEC Chairman, Prof. Sani Lawan Malumfashi, and 5 other members of the Electoral Commission.
Justice Simon Amobeda in an epoch ruling on Tuesday said Prof. Sani Lawan Malumfashi was removed as Chairman of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) due to his affiliation with a political party.
