Gombe Diaspora Endorses Gwamna for Governor, Pledges Campaign Funding

KANO — The Gombe Diaspora has endorsed the governorship aspiration of Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, pledging financial support for his campaign.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the Gombe Diaspora, Tanimu Tijjani Gombe that was made available to journalists in Kano, explained that the decision followed consultations with its members across the globe.
Tanimu Tijjani Gombe said the Group was driven by what it described as Gwamna’s track record of commitment to the growth and development of Gombe State.
“Following extensive consultations with our members across the diaspora, we are pleased to declare our full support for Dr. Jamilu Gwamna as our preferred candidate.
” We are convinced that he possesses the experience, competence, integrity and vision required to lead Gombe State to greater heights,” the statement read.
The group said it was prepared to mobilise financial resources to support Gwamna’s campaign, expressing confidence in his chances of securing victory at the governorship poll.
It said its endorsement was informed by the principles of justice, fairness and political balance, insisting that Gwamna should be given the opportunity to lead the state in the interest of equity and inclusive governance.
“We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, equity and the continued progress of Gombe State. We strongly believe that, in the interest of equity, justice and political balance, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna should be given the chance to serve,” the group stated.
The diaspora organisation noted that its members had contributed significantly to the state’s economy through investments, entrepreneurship, remittances and community development projects, adding that they were willing to extend similar support to Gwamna’s governorship ambition.
It also appealed to the people of Gombe State to rally behind the aspiration irrespective of political, ethnic or religious differences, saying broad-based support would promote unity and accelerate sustainable development.
“We remain committed to mobilising Gombawas across the diaspora to contribute meaningfully toward the emergence of a leadership that will unite the state and deliver sustainable development for all,” the statement added.
