Ganduje Hails Barau Jibrin’s Commitment to Humanity

KANO – Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Governor of Kano State and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has lauded the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, for his outstanding commitment to humanity following his recognition by The Sun Newspaper.
Ganduje gave the commendation while congratulating Senator Barau on his emergence as the recipient of The Sun Newspaper Humanitarian Award 2025, describing the honour as well-deserved and reflective of the senator’s long-standing record of compassion and service to society.
According to Ganduje, the award, which was presented at a ceremony held on Saturday, January 31, at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, is a fitting acknowledgment of Senator Barau’s dedication to uplifting the less privileged through impactful humanitarian interventions and selfless public service.
He noted that beyond his legislative responsibilities, the Deputy Senate President has consistently demonstrated a deep concern for human welfare, making meaningful contributions that have touched lives and inspired hope across communities.
Ganduje also commended The Sun Newspaper for sustaining its tradition of recognising individuals whose actions promote unity, compassion and the common good, stressing that such initiatives encourage positive leadership and responsible governance.
He described Senator Barau as a leader whose commitment to humanity aligns with the ideals of public service, adding that the recognition further underscores his growing national stature and influence.
Ganduje congratulated the Deputy President of the Senate once again on the achievement and wished him continued strength and success in his service to the nation and humanity at large.
