Empowerment : Ododo’s Aide Offers Lifeline To Kogi Youths, Widows In Kano

KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) –  Hon. Nazir Onumoh, the Special Adviser on Grassroot Sensitization to governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo over the weekend in Kano distributed cash gifts to over 50 individuals, comprising young and old, with a particular emphasis on women.
At a colourful ceremony that was held at Ebira House, Kano on Sunday, Nazir Onumoh said the
gesture marks the first phase of the governor’s empowerment program, aimed at improving the lives of Kogites in Kano State.
Onumoh explained that the initiative demonstrates Governor Ododo’s commitment to the welfare of his people, particularly those in need.
He stressed that “By providing financial support, the governor hopes to alleviate poverty and encourage economic growth among the beneficiaries.”
The Special Adviser on Grassroot Sensitization disclosed that the empowerment program was part of Governor Ododo’s broader vision for Kogi State, which includes stimulating job creation, infrastructure development, food security, and staff welfare.
Hon. Nazir Onumoh stated that the distribution of cash gifts reflect the governor’s dedication to grassroots sensitization and community development, adding that “By targeting women and vulnerable individuals, the program aims to promote inclusivity and equality.”
The Kano empowerment program has been well-received by the people of Kogi State indigenes residents in Kano who through their traditional ruler , Alhaji Aliyu Abdulmalik appreciated Ododo’s commitment to their welfare.
Aliyu Abdulmalik expressed optimism that the
first phase of the empowerment program would have a positive impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.
