Bandits Abduct 5 Nursing Mothers, Rustled 50 Cows In Kano Village

KANO – Hell was let loose at Yan Kwada village in Faruruwa community, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State, on Sunday when Bandits over ran the sleepy community and seized 5 nursing mothers, rustled 50 cows, and several livestock.
The Chairman Faruruwa Security Committee, Alhaji Yahya Bagobiri, told Newsmen in Kano that
the assailants stormed the rural communities around 9:00pm on motorbike armed to the teeth, unleashed terror on several homes before taking their victims away.
Yahya Bagobiri said, “among the nursing mother’s that were kidnapped, one luckily escaped back to her Family, so for now they are having four nursing Mothers with them”.
The incident comes barely a week after a joint military operation engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle in the area, killing 19 of them, while 2 soldiers paid the supreme price.
The overnight attack created palpable fear that gave way to pandemonium as hundreds of
displaced residents sought refuge in Faruruwa town or relocating to urban centres for safety.
Bagobiri lamented that for the last three weeks, the rural continue to experiences daily attacks and intense and sustained rustling of assorted livestock.
The Community leader said, “We continue to see these attacks almost on daily basis, despite the presence of the Military and other Security, even yesterday attacks we had about it that they are coming and we alerted the security, but nothing was done until they came around 9pm raided houses and whisked away the nursing mothers”.
He therefore appealed to President Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu and other top Security echelon to come to their rescue before it is too late.
