BUK, NWUK VCs, SolaceBase Publisher Complete UK Executive Leadership Programme

KANO — The Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Professor Haruna Musa; his counterpart at Northwest University Kano (NWUK), Professor Amina Salihi Bayero; and the Publisher of SolaceBase Newspaper, Abdullatif Abubakar Jos have completed a week-long executive leadership programme in London, United Kingdom.

 

The shortcourse focused on organisational performance, sustainable leadership and the strategic application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

 

The intensive programme, organised by Prospect Development Services (PDS) in partnership with WOFAN, brought together senior executives, university administrators and board members from various institutions to explore emerging leadership models, innovative problem-solving strategies and the growing role of AI in institutional governance and decision-making.

 

During the graduation ceremony at the Royal Institution of Great Britain in London, participants were presented with certificates following the successful completion of the executive course.

 

Also among the participants were the Vice Chancellor of Capital City University, Professor Yusuf Bala Daraja, Dr. Saleh Anka,

and other executives from public and private organisations from Kano State.

 

According to a statement issued by the Head of the Public Relations Unit of Northwest University Kano, Abubakar Ibrahim, the training was designed to equip participants with practical leadership skills capable of driving organisational transformation and improving institutional performance in an increasingly technology-driven world.

 

The statement said Professor Amina Salihi Bayero’s participation underscored Northwest University Kano’s commitment to embracing innovation, strengthening institutional leadership and aligning its governance practices with globally recognised standards.

 

It added that the knowledge and experience gained during the international programme would support the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery, improve operational efficiency and advance its vision of becoming a globally competitive institution anchored on excellence, innovation and strategic partnerships.
