Ebira House Project Brings Honor to Ebira Nation, Says Ohinoyi

By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul

KANO – The Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has lauded the Ebira community in Kano for constructing Ebira House, describing the project as a landmark achievement that has brought honor and recognition to the Ebira nation.

A statement issued by Muhammad Dauda and obtained by this newspaper said the monarch made the remark during a stopover in Kano on his way to the 8th General Assembly Meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council in Jigawa State.

During an interactive session with members of the Ebira community at the Odeyian Ebira Community Office, the Paramount ruler
expressed delight over the unity centre, which was built through communal efforts by Anebira residents in Kano.

“I am delighted by what I have heard about Ebira House, Kano. Such a project reflects the unity, commitment and progressive spirit of our people. It has placed the Ebira name in a glorious light,” the monarch was quoted as saying.

The Royal father also praised members of the community for maintaining a positive image of the Ebira people in their host state, noting that reports reaching him about the conduct and activities of Anebira in Kano had always been encouraging.

According to the statement, the Ohinoyi urged them to sustain the good reputation for which the Ebira nation is known, stressing that they serve as ambassadors of their cultural heritage wherever they reside.

The chief host, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulmalik, in his remarks, assured the paramount ruler that Anebira in Kano would continue to uphold the values of integrity, hard work and peaceful coexistence.

He also appealed to the traditional ruler to honour the community with a special visit to Kano, during which members would have the opportunity to showcase their achievements and contributions toward promoting the Ebira identity.

Responding, the Ohinoyi assured the gathering that he would visit Ebira House after concluding his official engagements in Jigawa State.

“I will make time to visit Ebira House, see the project for myself, offer my blessings and identify with the efforts of our people here in Kano,” he said.
